Another upcoming film from Warner bros. Pictures releases its first trailer and poster. But this time it is from the much anticipated sequel for the 2010 remake Clash of the Titans. Though the the first installment looks crappy, it seems that this sequel will be much better. Watch the trailer and judge it for yourself.
Wrath of the Titans picks up A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus (Worthington) --the demigod son of Zeus (Neeson)--is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity's lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades (Fiennes) and Poseidon (Danny Huston). The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld. Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus' godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramirez), switch loyalties and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans' strength grows stronger as Zeus' remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth. Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon's demigod son, Argenor (Toby Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind.
Looks like a semi reboot. I said that because of the re-establishment of Perseus and Andromeda's pairing in contrast of what have been established on the first movie where Perseus end up with Io (Gemma Arterton) and Andromeda's recasting itself. But I guess the recasting is indeed necessary for the character. After all it is almost a decade and Andromeda could have aged while Perseus being a demigod will have less change in appearance.
The trailer did have good scenes to show and I'm really expecting for the best. But I'm still worried because this is also what the trailers of the Clash of the Titans showed and it didn't actually live to what it shows on the trailers. Wishing for the very best for this film.
Coming in cinemas on March 30, 2012 from Legendary Pictures to be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

If ever they don't exceed the first film then they'd better be prepared for the WRATH OF THE FILM REVIEWERS hahaha. Let's keep our fingers crossed on this sequel.
On a similar note I am hopeful that Imus Productions Productions would come up with original Filipino designs and not some rip off from a well known title like The Clash of the Titans or this film.
