Just got these cool photos from Rob Cohen's Blog for his upcoming movie, The Mummy : Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. If you will read Rob Cohen's blog, it seems this third installment of The Mummy Trilogy will sure be a big hit in the cinemas just like the first two. With Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh in the cast, we might expect some good exchange of punches, kicks and weapon tossing. Here is a good preview of what we might expect in the film provided to us by our friends in Comingsoon.net.Jet Li plays a despotic Emperor in 50 B.C. whose evil is punished by a terrible curse laid on him by wizardress Michelle Yeoh: he and his army are turned into to terra cotta for all time; that is, unless he is re-awakened which, of course, is where the O'Connells come back into it.
The story moves to the year 1946. When we find them, Rick (Brendan Fraser) and Evelyn (Maria Bello) are retired to Oxfordshire, England, having been spies for the British during World War II. They are bored silly and welcome the offer of "one last mission" from the Foreign Office. Their assignment: courier a precious artifact back to the museum in Shanghai, China from which it was stolen.
Back to Asia: China is in turmoil but Jonathan (John Hannah) owns an Egyptian-themed bar in Shanghai. Unbeknownst to his parents, now grown-up Alex O'Connell (Luke Ford) is following in the family business as a young archaeologist on a dig in north-central China. He makes the discovery of a lifetime: the tomb of the Dragon Emperor, which has been buried for millennia. A beautiful assassin (Isabella Leong) tries to kill him to keep the location secret but Alex prevails. The Emperor's monument is transported back to Shanghai where another plot is in motion: military zealot Anthony Wong intends to awaken the Emperor and aid him in the re-conquest of China and the raising of his terra cotta army of ten thousand clay warriors.
The family is reunited and high adventure ensues: crash landings, treks thru the Himalayas, Yeti, avalanches, Shangri-la, three-headed dragons, pools of eternal life, epic battles, a shape-shifting Jet Li.
The Mummy : Tomb of the Dragon Emperor will premiere in the cinemas next year, 1st day of August.

Need moar Jet Li pictures!
This mnovie is going to suck!! FIRST OF ALL WHO EVER HEARD OF CHINESE MUMMIES AND SECOND OF ALL, RACHEL WEISZ AND ODED FEHR AREN'T EVEN IN IT!!! IT'S JUST A TOTAL WASTE!!! THEY ARE JUST FILMING THIS MOVIE FOR MONEY!!! IT'S DESPICABLE!!!
There are such things as Chinese mummies... but not made the same way as the Egyptians. Just so you know! But, I do want Rachel Weisz! You can't recast Evelyn!!! Raaarrg!
I'm actually looking forward to this movie, It has great potental, though not having Rachel Weisz as Evelyn is gonna be hard to stomach, but as long as they keep the new Evelyn's part of this movie extremly small, the movie could be very cool.
Come on people, Jet Li and Brendan Fraser in the same movie that's worth the price of admition.
I have to back up the person who stated that there are Chinese mummies. As a future real-life egyptologist, that wants to specialize in mummies, I would know what Im talking about. They are very similar to primitive Egyptian mummies that were left out in the sand and happened to become mummies. But you do have a very strong point about Rachel Weisz, WTF?!?!?! She is the true Evelyn.
What the heck? this movie is going to suck? its in CHINA! The first two were in Egypt and having the 3rd one in china is just wierd! The only peope that are in it that were in the first two are Brendan Fraser and John Hannah!
What about Oded Fehr! He was my favorite! I am so angry! Rachel Wiesz isnt even in it! or freddie boath! The whole first two are about imhotep and knows hes dead so there is no good plot!
