Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Pimentel Jr on Thursday expressed concern that the film Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo is conveying a wrong message to Filipinos by denigrating the use of the Visayan language, which is most widely spoken in the Visayas and large parts of Mindanao.According to Senator Pimentel, this is a clear slur towards non-tagalog speaking citizens and demands Star Cinema to take actions on the said matter. The Senator also requires Movies and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to explain why the said scene passed there standards.
Pimentel, who hails from Mindanao, cited a portion of the film where a grandmother was telling a nanny (yaya) in Pilipino: “Bakit pinapalaki ninyong Bisaya ang apo ko?" (Why are you rearing my grandchild as a Bisaya?)
The mother then butts in and tells the nanny: “Speak to the kid in Tagalog. Parang Pinoy. (So that he grows up like a Pinoy)."
Personally, I haven't watch the movie and can't further comment on the said issue. But just like the Desperate Housewives scandal, this shows how filipinos tend to be so sensitive when it comes to race issues.

No one nees to see the movie to recognize the needless, arrogant slur. And, if one has any sense of fairness and decency, to be offended by it.

Tagalog-speaking filipinos are normally called "pilipino" hear abroad. Whereas, visayan-speaking filipinos are not "pilipino" but called "bisaya". And tagalog-filipinos are very proud of that.
