Last night is the night every Trans Fan is waiting for. Its is quite hard to score some tix but with the help of some old friends I got the chance to watch Transformers Revenge of the Fallen 2 days prior the regular screening.
Once again the Autobots are back with the leadership of Optimus Prime. Now the gang is working with the British and American army to form an organization called NEST. Autobots comprising the original lineup: (minus Jazz) Bumblebee (Chevy Camaro), Ratchet (Rescue Hummer), Ironhide (GMC Topkick) and Prime (Peterbilt Truck) together with new recruits: Mudflap and Skids (Chevy Trax and Beat); Sideswipe(Chevy Corvette); Jolt (Chevy Volt) and Arcee (Ducati Superbike, Suzuki B-King, MV Agusta F4) is working side by side with Major William Lennox (Josh Duhamel), Robert Epps (Tyrese Gibson) and thousands of soldiers in traveling around the world rounding up few decepticons left hiding after Megatron is defeated 2 years ago.
Now, Sam (Shia LaBeouf) is going to college having a hard time convincing Mikaela (Megan Fox) to retain their relationship despite the distance that will separate them from each other. But other than adjusting to college, Sam and the Autobots didn't expect that a greater evil than megatron is about to return for a Revenge.
Paramount Pictures and Dreamworks Pictures presents the much anticipated sequel of the 2007 box office live action adaptation of the ever loved robot alien series. Transformers Revenge of the Fallen once again assembled a stellar cast like Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro. Peter Cullen and Hugo Weaving is back to voice Optimus Prime and Megatron respectively and enter Tony Todd (Night of the Living Dead, Candyman, Final Destination) for the voice of The Fallen.
As compared to the previous movie, TF: ROTF is better. With more robots, more fight scenes and more excitement. Though once again, don't expect so much on the story. They failed to explain how female robots exist, this is the very reason why Arcee is scrapped in the first movie but she reappears on the sequel with yet again unexplained gender preference. The downside of too much robots in the movie is some of them got only seconds of air time. Most of them are killed earlier in the movie and didn't even reached the climax.
But the bottom line is the movie has the elements people is looking for a movie that they will enjoy watching: Explosion, Badass Robot, handsom vehicles and not to mention hot babes (especially Megan Fox and Isabel Lucas now that is Hot). Micahel Bay did it again. I don't care what people say about Michael Bay but I'm just thankful he created this flick so thumbs up for you Bay.
Definitely a must watch especially to all pure Trans Fans out there. It is worth all the money you will pay. And just a reminder, before going to the cinema be sure you finished everything and don't bring cold beverages inside to prevent restroom breaks because you will regret those moments you will miss and the movie has a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes so your stay on your seat is quite long.
Transformers Revenge of the Fallen is Directed by Michael Bay and Executive Produced by Steven Spielberg. Distributed by Paramount Pictures and Dreamworks Pictures. The movie opens in June 24, 2009 in all Philippine Cinemas including IMAX and digital theaters. So get your tickets reserved and be ready to witness the revenge.
Special thanks to Kankan of Yehey! and Solar Entertainment for the pass.
