Ok earlier this evening, I'm browsing through TheMovieBlog just to update myself on the latest news on movies and didn't have plans of blogging for now since I'm too stressed and I just got sick yesterday and I'm still not doing fine.  I'm just about to close my browser and call that a day when a new update came from twitter (yes I follow John on twitter).  I quickly clicked the link and here it flashes in front of me an update regarding X-Men first class.

Anna Paquin known to play the power absorbing mutant from all the previous X-Men Trilogy, revealed an update about X-Men First class that changes everything we know about the concept of the movie.

Quoted from Worst Previous:

“Absolutely. Yeah,” she revealed. “I would hope I could do a little bit more action next time, though. I kind of find it ironic that I did three big action films and did, actually, no action whatsoever. I mean I got some really amazing emotional story moments, but I didn’t really get to do the physical stuff.”

Other than that, it appears that not only Rogue but also Iceman, Collosus, Angel, Shadowcat and Jubilee is making a comeback on this new movie.  All we know is that X-Men first class is a prequel to X-Men franchise but with these developments, it appears this new film will take place after The Last Stand.

The good part, I'm happy that at last these characters will have enough exposure after their supporting stint on the Trilogy. I would like to see Rogue's potential and want to see Iceman and Collosus pounding serious damage to giant robots. I also hope that the production will get Ellen Page again to play Kitty Pride and give Angel more screen time. 

The only bad part is, the concept of First class is completely ruined since the first class of X-men in the film would be those Mutants that Professor X saved from the Weapon X Facility in the Wolverine Origins film. I don't know how the writers will solve this little discrepancy but I hope they will. But despite that, I'm happy with the development and updates. I hope we can read more concrete and official updates in the future.
