Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animations released the very first full length trailer of the upcoming classic adaptation of Smurf.  Watch it now after the jump.

When the evil wizard Gargamel (Azaria) chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical world and into ours - in fact, smack dab in the middle of Central Park. Just three apples high and stuck in the Big Apple, the Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down.

Never really saw the cartoon before (or maybe I did but I already forgot) so basically this is the first time I'll experience Smurf.  I hope the movie will not disappoint me.


Directed by Raja Gosnell (Beverly Hills Chihuahua).  Starring Neil Patrick Harris (How I met Your Mother), Jayma Mays (Glee), Katy Perry, Hank Azaria (Love and Other Drugs), Allan Cumming (Burlesque) and a lot more, Smurf is coming on Digital 3D August 10, 2011 (July 29 on US) to be distributed by Columbia Pictures Philippines.
