Just saw this on my Facebook timeline.  At first I thought it is just a joke but it is confirmed on Apple's official website, that former Chief Executive and Co-founder Steve Jobs died after a long battle of Pancreatic Cancer.

Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and inspiring mentor. Steve leaves the company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.

I never used any Apple gadgets in my life and I'm not really updated about Steve Jobs except the fact that I know he is also a share holder of Pixar. The news of his death is indeed a big shock for me because I'm not aware of his condition.

It is really sad to know that we lost a visionary.  Farewell Steve Jobs.
